ABOUT
Serena Maria Bosco was born and raised in Rome, Italy, where she attended St Stephen's International School and completed the International Baccalaureate, taking Visual Arts, English Literature, Art History, and Italian Literature amongst other subjects; whilst expressing her creativity through Modern, Classical and Contemporary Dance classes, as well as four years of acting major roles in school plays and running the costume department of the Drama club.
This background allowed Serena to develop strong visual and textual analysis skills, alongside a need to exist within a creative and artistic environment greatly centered around performance, cultivating a fascination for the nuanced artistry of visual presentation as a narrative tool.
Studying Performance Costume BA (Hons) at the University of Edinburgh College of Art gave Serena a chance to put her analytical and artistic skills to work, allowing her to channel her inspirations, creating original designs and bringing physical garments to the stage.
Serena is credited as one of 20 students picked to curate and conceptualize the Society of British Theatre Designers' student exhibit for the 2023 Prague Quadrennial.
